Germany clinched the 2026 Longines League of Nations title on October 4, 2026, at the Real Club de Polo in Barcelona. According to the FEI report, Richard Vogel and Cloudio secured the jump-off victory against Brazil with a clear round in 40.85 seconds. Brazil finished in second place, while Belgium took third with five penalty points.
Four Faults Lead to a Jump-Off
Riding for the German team, led by Otto Becker, were Marcus Ehning with Coolio 42, Jörne Sprehe with Toys, Richard Vogel with Cloudio, and Sophie Hinners with Iron Dames my Prins.
After the first round, Germany was the only team without any penalty points. In the second round, only three pairs from each team competed, and every result counted. A rail down from Vogel and Cloudio brought Germany to four penalty points, putting them level with Brazil and forcing a jump-off for the title.
Cloudio Stays Clear in the Decider
Brazil sent Rodrigo Pessoa with Major Tom into the jump-off. They had a rail down at the first obstacle. Vogel and Cloudio then went clear, securing Germany's second Longines League of Nations title.
Cloudio was also honored as the best horse for achieving the most clear rounds in the qualifying legs. For Germany, the victory in Barcelona followed their team title at the FEI World Show Jumping Championships in Aachen.
