The judges for the 2026 Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) Supreme Championships have been announced! Olympic gold medallist Laura Collett and breeding judge Edwin Prosser will award the coveted supreme titles on the final evening, October 11. This exciting news comes from organiser Grandstand Media.
Laura Collett herself claimed the Supreme Pony title at HOYS in 2006 with her Welsh Section A pony, Penwayne Ryan. “I have very special memories associated with the Horse of the Year Show,” she shared. “To know how much it means to qualify for HOYS and to stand in the arena on that final evening, and now, all these years later, to return as a Supreme Championship judge, is a true honour.”
Edwin Prosser, from Mintfield Stud, is a highly respected judge of Welsh Ponies and Cobs. He previously judged the Price family’s Supreme In-Hand Championship at HOYS in 2022. “It is a great honour to be invited to judge the Supreme Horse and Pony Championship,” he stated.
