Description
Leo – promising three-year-old heavy warmblood gelding with an excellent character and sound as a bell. X-rays available.
For sale is the impressive heavy warmblood Leo, a three-year-old young partner with outstanding lineage and great basic gaits. He was admitted to the championship as a foal.
Leo is fine under saddle and will be suitable for dressage, small jumps, and as a driving horse.
His sire is Lessing from Moritzburg; on the dam's side, he also carries valuable Moritzburg lines through the maternal grandsire Veit. Even as a foal, Leo impressed with his quality and received championship admission.
Leo is an exceptionally people-oriented and reliable young horse that stands out for his great trust in humans. Whether in the forest, in the field, or even when bathing – Leo attentively and calmly accompanies his partner through every situation. He is also familiar with walks on the road and always remains calm and confident.
He was prepared for backing in an age-appropriate and gentle manner and has been under saddle since March 2026. Here too, Leo convinces with his balanced, willing nature: he approaches new tasks calmly, shows diligence, and works with motivation. He also knows free jumping.
Leo is an ideal partner for riders looking for an honest, trusting young horse with a good foundation and potential. A horse that impresses not only through its lineage but above all through its character.
Leo has been X-rayed – everything is perfect!
We would be delighted to find a supportive partner for Leo.
Training progress:
- Backed from March 2026 (by a certified horse management specialist)
- Back home from mid-May 2026: training under saddle in the arena (by a trained horse management specialist)
- From mid-June 2026: training sessions in the nearby forest, under saddle,
- additionally: walks on the road, free jumping, swimming in the lake
- July 2026: training at the showgrounds of Massner Riding Club (loading, training – no problem) video available
- July 2026 – ride to the lake – trot sequences on hilly forest trails, riding into the lake. (No problem for Leo)
- September 16, 2026: first riding horse test completed (he did everything obediently, but was overwhelmed by the many new impressions to the point that he forgot which lead to canter correctly), we still need to build more muscle and develop routine. But otherwise everything was great!
A great horse.
