Description
PRE breeding stallion Amigo de Salazar – Double Pearl (Aa EE prl/prl) – ANCCE licensed
We are delighted to offer our PRE breeding stallion Amigo de Salazar (born 2021) officially for the first time for the breeding season.
This year, Amigo has successfully covered his first mares and has proven to be exceptionally composed, reliable, and uncomplicated from day one. Despite being used for breeding, he remains friendly, clear-headed, and easy to handle at all times – qualities we consciously aim to pass on to his offspring.
Temperament
Amigo's temperament is his greatest strength. He is:
• absolutely clear-headed
• steady-nerved and composed
• friendly and people-oriented
• uncomplicated in daily handling
• socially compatible in a stallion group
Amigo is kept year-round in a mixed group of stallions/geldings. Even here, he shows himself to be extremely social and balanced. He willingly takes yearlings under his wing as a foster father and virtually adopts them. With Amigo, you can truly say he has heart/Curazon, just like his mother Tentadora.
Conformation
Amigo now measures approximately 1.65 m (licensed at 1.62 m) and is likely fully grown.
He has a very strong, stable foundation with excellent bone structure and will continue to develop physically in the coming years.
His back is somewhat longer, which makes him particularly suitable for mares with a rather short back.
Movement
Despite his strong build, Amigo moves surprisingly lightly and elastically. He shows large, ground-covering, almost floating movements with plenty of shoulder freedom and natural balance.
Current movement videos will be added after the breeding season.
Color Genetics
Amigo carries the rare color Double Pearl.
Genotype: Aa EE prl/prl
He will pass on a Pearl gene to every one of his foals. In combination with mares that also carry color genes (e.g., Pearl, Cream, Dun, or other special colors), exciting color genetic possibilities arise.
We are happy to advise you in detail on color genetics and plan the optimal pairing for your mare together.
If you are interested, we look forward to your message. We will gladly provide further information, pictures, videos, as well as individual breeding and color advice.
