MEGANUS PS

Description

A clean sweep for our Meganus PS: Victory in both Bundeschampionate qualifications for five-year-olds with scores of 9.2 and 9.5, victory in the prestigious 14th Championat auf dem Dobrock with 9.0, and victory in the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Diepholz with 9.0. In the 2021 season alone, he also recorded nine further wins in show jumping classes for young horses under his trainer Patrick Stühlmeyer. Meganus PS impresses with his boundless jumping talent and a sensational, rare bloodline. In 2022, Meganus PS will enter stud for the first time.

The sire Messenger is himself the only licensed son of the individual and team bronze medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens/GRE, sixth in the 2004 World Cup in Milano/ITA and double European Champion in 2005 in San Patrignano/ITA, Montender/Marco Kutscher. He already received a 10 for his jumping ability at his stallion performance test. With Florian Meyer zu Hartum, Messenger became the Warendorf Vice-Champion of seven-year-old show jumpers in 2014, after having previously placed in the finals of the Bundeschampionate. He also achieved his first international successes. In 2015 and 2016, he won the CSI3* Championat of Redefin with different riders. With Philip Rüping, he placed second in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden in 2017 and placed well in Calgary/CAN, Arezzo/ITA and again Redefin. Messenger now resides in the USA. His oldest offspring are already successful in 1.50m classes, such as Dessenger/Philipe Rozier/FRA, Marilyn/Daniel Bluman/ISR, Miss Aragona PS/William Whitaker/GBR and Mahony/Philipp Schulze Topphoff.

The dam Whizz Kid is also the dam of the 1.60m jumpers Chataga/Alejandro Mills/MEX, H5 Chaganus/Eduardo Pereira de Menezes/BRA and Casquo Blue/Douglas Lindelöw/SWE (2021 4th place Team European Championships in Riesenbeck), as well as the other international jumpers Chaccocartes (1.45m classes), Chacco's Whizz Kid (both by Chacco-Blue; 1.40m classes) and Messi's Whizz Kid PS (by Messenger; 1.25m classes).

Carthago in the second generation competed with Jos Lansink/BEL at the Olympic Games in Atlanta/USA and Sydney/AUS. He also won the Nations Cups of Aachen, Rotterdam/NED and La Baule/FRA and is considered, from a breeding perspective, one of the most influential sons of Capitol I.

The granddam Gastona produced the licensed Chacgrano (by Chacco-Blue; 1.60m jumping)/Patrick Stühlmeyer as well as the 1.60m jumpers Calasko Z (by Calvaro Z)/Manuel Sanderos/MEX and Colasko (by Colman)/Nicolas Pizarro/MEX. Also internationally successful: Balouboy (by Baloubet du Rouet; 1.40m jumping), Polasko (by Polytraum; 1.50m jumping), Casanova (by Carthago; 1.45m jumping), Calvogran (by Calvaro Z; 1.45m jumping) and Caltona (by Calvaro Z; 1.45m jumping).

In the third and fourth positions of the pedigree, further performance guarantees follow with Grannus and Wohlgemuth.

The great-granddam Walaska produced Gaston M (by Grannus)/Hansueli Sprunger/SUI and the S-level dressage horses Traston (by Traumdeuter) and Chateau Paradise (by Continue).

From the same female line also the stallions Sir Nymphenburg I and II (by Sir Donnerhall I) as well as Felice (by Diamond Hit).
