Description
Fürst William HC, an exceptional talent with a picture-book career, in 2015 he became the outstanding Oldenburg State Champion of 3-year-old stallions in Rastede, as well as the celebrated Federal Champion of 3-year-old stallions in Warendorf under his then rider Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn.
At his HLP in 2015 in Schlieckau, he achieved a dressage score of 8.83. His HLP sport test in Münster was won by this model student in 2016 (as a 4-year-old) with 9.11 under Fiebelkorn, and Fürst William also successfully completed the HLP sport test in 2017 (as a 5-year-old) with 8.53 under his owner Anémone Saymyn. After Saymyn ended the collaboration with Fiebelkorn, Fürst William first moved to Denmark to be trained by Severo Jurado Lopez, who won the test for 4-year-old stallions at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo in 2016 with Fürst William HC, achieving a magnificent 92%.
Since 2017, Fürst William has been back in Germany and is being developed by Beatrice Buchwald. That this combination holds great promise is proven by the magnificent start to the competition season. The pair advanced to become the shining Reserve Federal Champion of 5-year-old dressage horses, having previously won five dressage horse tests at Class L in five starts.
In 2018, Fürst William HC continued his winning streak, winning five dressage horse tests in a row in five starts, as well as the qualifying test at the Federal Championship and finishing an excellent fourth in the final.
Certainly noteworthy is the outstanding trot, as well as the nearly optimal canter of Fürst William (as the chair of the jury, Mariette Sanders-Gansewinkel, announced during the scoring in Ermelo): "This stallion has so much talent, you can already recognize his potential for the higher levels. In the medium walk, he could have overtracked more, so it was scored an 8. For his light-footed trot, the stallion receives a 9. The canter of Fürst William is as described in the book. Only because we are not allowed to give an 11, he receives a 10 today."
Fürst William's trot and canter have often been awarded high 9s; the dynamic and high degree of natural elevation, as well as the extremely energetic footfall and the scope of these basic gaits, are already fantastic.
Fürst William's dam, La Bonita, was herself a serial winner in dressage horse tests. His half-brother Don Sinclair is also a serial winner in dressage horse tests.
The sire Fürst Wilhelm, according to the FN breeding value estimation for dressage with 139 points, is in the German top group; in 2016, he was awarded the title "Elite Stallion" in Mecklenburg due to his breeding performance. Fürst Wilhelm completed the performance record required of stallions through qualification for the Federal Championship of the German Dressage Horse and has now been ridden up to the highest level.
