Description
This Menorquin stallion, born in 2023, is a purebred and an absolute buddy for having fun!
He immediately wrapped me around his hoof, because his charm is indescribable. At liberty, he repeatedly invited me to play in a very friendly manner, always remaining submissive. He constantly sought contact, but in a delightfully friendly way :) When sent away, he showed how much joy and power is in him. Very old Menorquin lines flow in him, which you notice immediately. Agile, baroque, enduring, extremely smart, short back, and a very comfortable-to-sit trot.
Due to his eager-to-learn character, he also learns very quickly under saddle. His conformation is predestined for baroque riding, working equitation, or western, while he will also bring a lot of joy as a leisure horse.
Until just before age 3, he was in the stallion herd and is therefore not only well socialized but also robust, because his home is in one of the rockiest parts of Menorca! Raised on very stony, hard ground, he has very clean legs and good veins. His hoof quality is so good that he is ridden barefoot without issue even on the stony and rocky paths.
After work, where he still needs to find a bit more balance, which is natural at that age, he walks very relaxed on a long rein at the walk and also stands still for longer periods completely on a loose rein. So he already knows perfectly how to differentiate between work and rest.
He has a small white marking on one hind hoof, otherwise he is beautifully black! As of today, he cannot yet be licensed because only one testicle has descended. According to the vet's palpation, a standard castration on site would be no problem at all.
Currently he measures 160 cm, but appears larger due to his baroque appearance and will still grow, as Menorquins are not fully developed until age 8.
His location is Menorca.
Videos and pedigree available on request.
I am happy to organize a pre-purchase exam, training, castration, transport, or your trip if you want to come see him in person. Details on my page or in conversation.
