Description
Lavish scope paired with rideability, great overview, and an exquisite pedigree – Nikan’s Diamond presents himself as a highly interesting youngster who certainly cannot deny his legendary sire Kannan.
Licensed for the Hanoverian Verband, Nikan’s Diamond completed a very good 14-day test in Adelheidsdorf as well as a first-class sport test in Münster-Handorf. With an overall score of 8.52, Nikan’s Diamond placed second in his sport test. His outstanding rideability was praised with the day’s best score of 9.0.
Large-framed, with a strong back, and standing in the stately type of his famous sire, Nikan’s Diamond is bursting with power. The young athlete knows how to use this power deliberately and always focused in the ring. This extremely scopey youngster overcomes all dimensions playfully and easily. With his beautiful dark chestnut color, large blaze, and four white socks, Nikan’s Diamond is also a real eye-catcher visually.
Sire Kannan is without doubt one of the best show jumping sires of all time worldwide. Currently, he ranks fourth in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best jumping sires. He is the only stallion worldwide to have achieved a top-ten ranking in this prestigious ranking continuously since 2010. Kannan proved his outstanding athletic talent under French rider Michel Hécart, including at the 2005 European Championships in San Patrignano. World-class horses like Olympic champion Nino des Buissonnets/Steve Guerdat, World Cup winner Paille de la Roque/Steve Guerdat, and CSI5* Grand Prix stars like Quabri de L’Isle/Pedro Veniss or Molly Malone/Betram Allen are offspring of the exceptional sire Kannan.
The successful Holsteiner stallion C-Indoctro is the damsire. Around 20 licensed sons and progeny earnings of nearly €1.3 million speak for themselves.
In the third generation, the Dutch stallion Ahorn follows. This stallion, exquisitely bred through Nimmerdor and Ladykiller xx, is considered a reliable sire of high-performance sport horses. Among others, he produced success guarantors like Ursula XII, highly successful at CSI5* level under Scott Brash.
Special attention deserves Nikan’s Diamond’s dam Maraminka, who under the sport name Minka’s Diamond was successful at 1.60 m level, including in Nations Cups with the Dutch team under Emile Tacken. With Diamond of Minka, Enjoy Blue Diamond, and Freiminka’s Blue Diamond, Nikan’s Diamond has three siblings successful internationally at the top level.
Granddam Geminka herself gave life to two internationally successful offspring in 1.45 m classes with Desiran and Rhett.
The cradle of success is founded in the mare family of Freiminka, one of the best mare families in Oldenburg. Besides our 1.60 m exceptional sport horse and top sire Cordess, this family stands for top sport horses as well as numerous licensed stallions. Totilas in particular has brought special attention to this mare family. For international show jumping, this mare family has produced a whole series of flagship horses; representative examples include the licensed Agana vat het Gerendal Z, internationally highly successful at CSI5* (1.60 m) under Lillie Keenan/USA, Sea Cost Guiness, victorious internationally in 1.60 m classes under Harrie Allen/IRE and Gudrun Patteet/BEL, or Zernike K, successful in World Cup qualifiers under Brianne Goutal-Marteau/USA.
