Description
You are looking for a resilient, strong, and robust four-legged friend with good social behavior?
As a medium-sized agricultural operation, we have been breeding a robust sporty warmblood for over 15 years. We cover our mares exclusively through natural service, usually starting at the end of May, and we refrain from interventions such as hormone treatment and ultrasound examinations. Our stallions cover the mares in hand throughout the entire heat cycle. The foals are thus born in the green season and live with their mothers alone on a pasture for the first 4 weeks to strengthen the bond. At night, they are in an open stable with a paddock. Only when the foals are a bit more stable are they allowed to join the large mixed-age mare herd with grandma and aunties. At the age of 7 to 8 months, we begin the gentle weaning of the foals, depending on how their psyche allows. Initially, the foals are separated from their mothers for only a few hours, then separated overnight, and go back to the herd during the day. This procedure is more pleasant for both the foal and the mother mare and can take up to three weeks. The male weanlings then go to a separate pasture with their older siblings to get to know them first through the fence. Only when everything is relaxed there and the older stallions show no negative signals are the youngest integrated. For the next three to four years, the young stallions grow up in the herd and are provided with hay, straw, minerals, and concentrate feed. They change location twice a year and have 24/7 pasture access with access to a stable tent.
Furthermore, the stallions are familiar with traffic as well as sheep and goats.
Our horses have a strong immune system and have developed strong tendons and ligaments due to various ground conditions. They have learned to move appropriately even in unfavorable ground conditions.
Of course, we cannot guarantee that our horses will never get sick, but through this type of upbringing, we have bred a resilient creature that knows how to behave in strong sunlight, precipitation in all forms, and wind.
We look forward to any friendly contact that introduces itself properly and conducts a decent conversation with us. If everything fits, the price is negotiable and installment payment is also possible...
We offer here a solidly raised stallion who has been a gelding since September 23, who simply needed his time to grow up... he has had no negative experiences and has simply lived on various non-contiguous pastures in recent years...
Hanoverian gelding from 2020 with passport and pedigree certificate. Laurent x Matcho's As
Current height at the withers: 1.68 m.
Currently being gently backed and is accustomed to open stable housing. He knows electric fences, tractors, chickens, dogs, traffic, and railroad crossings.
Current training level as of August 3, 2025
(backing, i.e., training on the lunge and getting used to saddle and bridle, only began in April 2025)
- lunged on a rope halter, with bridle and saddle in all basic gaits
- lunged over jumps
- relaxed mounting
- free riding in the arena at walk and trot
- loading training started, he loads well and behaves very calmly
- also stands alone on the pasture
If you are wondering why we start backing so late...
Quite simply, we want a horse that is physically and mentally mature enough not to suffer any damage from the backing process. Only through the horse's trust in the rider does backing become playful learning, and the horse remains calm and curious about what follows.
The gelding was raised robustly 24/7 on pasture with companions and has had no health issues in recent years.
