VITALOS

Description

"The stallion moves almost arrogantly," commented the jury on their "goosebump feeling" during the Federal Championship final appearance of our Vitalos. In trot "rhythmic, even, and swinging through the body, from the very first trot step" – 10! In canter "enormously uphill, stepping far under, with great shoulder freedom, and from the side view, one canter stride like the other, even in the corners and on both leads" – 10! In walk "stepping forward well from the shoulder, just as diligent in the hindquarters as in the entire sequence, reaching forward, in a completely clear four-beat" – 9.0! The contact was so precise, "it couldn't be better for a four-year-old horse," which the external rider also confirmed – 10! And the "typical, masculine build" rounded off the overall picture very well – 9.0! With a total of 9.6, Vitalos won gold in the class of four-year-old stallions under his trainer Leonie Richter, as he had previously at the Hanoverian Championship in Verden. He completed his HLP in Denmark as the winner of his age class, also receiving the dream score of 10 there.

Vitalis was the 2007 stallion foal winner in the Netherlands, 2009 reserve winner of the NRW licensing, 2010 HLP dressage index winner, 2012 placed at the Dressage Horse World Championship and in the Pavo Cup final, 2013 champion in the USA and qualified again for the Dressage Horse World Championship with a record score, and in 2014, at seven years old, immediately victorious in the international Small Tour. In 2016, back in Germany, Vitalis won the Burg-Pokal final in Frankfurt and the Stallion of the Year competition at Inter I level at the World Championship in Ermelo/NED. Soon, 70 of his sons were licensed. The first offspring are successful in Grand Prix dressage, such as the Louisdor Prize final runner-up Valencia AS and the Aachen winner and Otto Lörke Prize winner Valesco/both under Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, the Compiègne winner Vamos Amigos/Cathrine Dufour/DEN, and the German U25 champion Vinay NRW/Ellen Richter.

The maternal sire De Niro, himself successful in Grand Prix class at eight years old and winner of the Hamburg Dressage Derby under riding master Dolf-Dietram Keller, led the WBFSH ranking of the best dressage sires worldwide for six consecutive years. There is no championship where his offspring, including Desperados FRH/Kristina Bröring-Sprehe, Dablino/Anabel Balkenhol, D'Agostino FRH/Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, Delgado/Beatriz Ferrer-Salat/ESP, Voice/Edward Gal/NED, Deep Impact/Severo Jurado Lopez/ESP, and Darco of De Niro ZS CH/Charlotte Lenherr/SUI, did not compete for medals. More than 250 S-level horses registered in Germany alone collected over 3.2 million euros in prize money for their sire. With more than 100 licensed sons, the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year had a lasting influence on breeding.

The third sire is Wanderbursch II and the fourth sire is Askan.

From the third dam Antje also comes the mare Waleska (by Wolkentanz I), who produced the licensed stallion Destination MS (by Destano).

Hanoverian line of Aina, from which also come the stallions Allegro (by Augustinus xx) or Fabriano (by Wendulan).
