Description
Powerful, beautiful, and with compelling quality, this highly interesting youngster presents itself with a promising complete package for top-level sport and breeding!
Brillant du Reventon presents himself extremely clever and elastic at the jump. Much suppleness, a naturally loose basic jump that unfolds over the body, and a hind leg that always opens safely testify to the extraordinary quality of this youngster. Added to this are mental superiority, overview, and a truly brilliant attitude – in short, everything a top athlete needs!
In Brillant du Reventon's 50-day test, which guarantees him lifelong entry in the Studbook I, the judging commission attested to the stallion's particular care and jumping characterized by powerful impulsion and quick reflexes. Additionally, his special character and impeccable temperament were praised with the daily top score of 9.0.
Top-sport oriented, up-to-date, and consistent, the paternal pedigree of Brillant du Reventon presents itself, which on the maternal side draws on the top genetics of the Holstein dam line 1298, often referred to in breeder circles as the "Lord line," as it is the birth source of this exceptional stallion.
Sire Balou du Reventon is currently one of the most successful horses in the world. With Darragh Kenny (IRE), Brian Moggre (USA), and Harry Charles (GBR), he has collected countless successes in Grands Prix, World Cup Finals, World Equestrian Games, won the Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen, and took silver in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen. In the USA, the stallion, who originally came into sport under the name Cornet's Balou as a Federal Champion, was voted Horse of the Year of the United States 2021. In breeding, Balou du Reventon also leaves nothing to be desired, with several offspring already successful internationally at 1.60 m.
Maternal grandsire is the Holstein stallion Acorado I, who himself celebrated S***-level successes in sport under Torben Köhlbrandt. Unfortunately deceased relatively early, Acorado I immortalized himself in German show jumping breeding with 25 licensed sons and an impressive number of offspring successful in sport at the highest level.
In the third generation, Caretino, a Holstein stamp stallion of the highest quality, follows. Successful in international top sport under Ludger Beerbaum himself, Caretino significantly shaped Holstein breeding with over 60 licensed sons, including international success guarantors such as Olympic stallion Casall/Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.
In the fourth generation, no less than Jos Lansink's two-time Olympic stallion and at the time probably the most successful show jumping stallion in the world, Carthago, concludes the exquisite pedigree of Brillant du Reventon.
Granddam Negrill produced for Belgium the licensed and 1.50 m successful stallion Peppermint Blue/Thibault Vermeulen, the internationally 1.40 m successful Eliza B/Yahia Said (MAR), the 1.40 m successful Reppers Di Light/Michael Kölz (GER), and the licensed stallion Cordello.
Granddam Irma La Douche gave life to the internationally 1.60 m successful Non Stop SV/Takashi Haase Shibayama (JPN).
The origin of success is the Holstein dam line 1298, which, in addition to numerous successful sires, produced the top horses Cynar VA/ Jessica Springsteen (USA), Caletto Cabana/Wilton Porter (USA), Cochello/Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA), Cochella/Angelie von Essen (SWE), Chupa Chup/Bernardo Alves (BRA), and California/Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli (SWE).
