Barcelo is a sensitive, compact boy with butter-soft movements and a great work ethic.
He once had good dressage training, but was recently ridden a lot in the countryside. With us, he is being reminded of his training and he shows us every day that he can do "more."
Barcelo does a nice shoulder-in and travers. Traversals have been started and are getting better and better. His canter is naturally very collected and uphill – but it's still a bit difficult for him in our small arena. However, this is steadily improving.
He does enjoy dressage, but he absolutely loves the countryside. Alone, in a group, in front or in back – Barcelo is there! The countryside is his absolute forte! Since he also has a very good walk, we could also imagine him as a trail riding horse.
Generally, Barcelo is light to ride and likes to be ridden with little pressure. If the rider clamps down or constantly drives him, he doesn't know what to do and tends to stop or fidget on the spot.
The fewer aids you use to drive him (he also responds great to voice aids!), the more comfortable Barcelo feels and the more motivated he participates.
In handling, he is initially a bit shy, but once he knows his person, he follows like a dog <3
A true delight for the rider who enjoys both dressage and the countryside and likes horses that respond promptly to rider aids.
Barcelo is turned out and accustomed to herd keeping and is compatible.
Including clinical examination and X-rays
