Description
On behalf of a client:
Gitano is a handsome Andalusian gelding of a sporty type with a rather calm temperament – the ideal Spanish partner for leisure riding.
Gitano is backed and has jumped at cavaletti height. In dressage work, he can be motivated, but he has a greater interest in new things like an obstacle course or a desensitization course. A Working Equitation course might also bring him joy.
He is experienced in the countryside and on roads. For weak riders, he is suitable only in the arena and indoor school, but not on trails. On solo rides, he can sometimes be spooky and needs a secure rider. From the ground, he responds very finely to body language and enjoys working with you.
Gitano has a people-oriented, honest character. However, he needs time and the necessary trust in handling to open up and relax during grooming.
We are looking for a breed-experienced person for him who understands his character and needs and who knows and appreciates the traits of this breed. As a gelding, he is well socialized and lives in a gender-separated herd. He currently lives in a paddock box with daily turnout. He would probably also feel very comfortable in an open stable; he is very socially compatible. On some days, he needs to "warm up" a bit at the start of training; this has been checked by a veterinarian. He has been with his current owners for three years, and when purchased back then, he was tested for kissing spines.
Of course, he has been regularly dewormed, vaccinated, osteopathically checked, and seen by the farrier (front shoes). His teeth have also been done (last in 04/25).
The complete equipment (saddle, bridle, blankets) can be purchased with him.
